The younger group that I work with in gifted and talented is curiously enough all boys. We are currently working on dioramas ( scenes in shoeboxes) that show at least three living things and three non-living things. So far my box really stands out since I chose to do the seashore.
The boys have all chosen various themes of hunting, sports, or farming. Mind you these are country kids so that is what they know. The problem is that I wasn't any help at all because I didn't know what a deer blind would look to scale, or how to make the goal posts stand up using construction paper. The poor boy recreating a football game just looked at me strangely when I asked where the cheerleaders on the sideline were. He said they were not important to the game. Raising two very prissy girlie girls is going to be of no help whatsoever as the boys and I get through the year. I have a feeling I will be learning a lot.
Riddle of the day: YOU LEAVE HOME TAKE THREE LEFTS AND WHEN YOU RETURN TWO PEOPLE IN MASKS ARE THERE. WHO ARE THEY?
