My sister Jennifer and I decided while I was waiting out Hurricane Ike with her that we should get started on our holiday crafts. There is a large crafts fair in my town in November, that only accepts homemade items. Since Jennifer and I both have girls, we tend to make a lot of really girlie items. This year we are making tutus, blinged out belt buckles (Texas women love these), Hair bows, decorating votives and candles. Since I have a ton of scrapbooking supplies, we are also thinking about doing some decoupage pieces. Obviously we are a work in progress, but it sure would be nice to make a few hundred dollars to go Black Friday shopping with.
One of the financial responsibilities that my husband and I agreed to was that I would be responsible for the purchase of all Christmas gifts. Considering last year with both sides of the family, school gifts, work gifts, Christmas party exchanges. I ended up needing 42 gifts total. Believe me the more money I can make before hand, the better off I will be at Christmas time. The above picture is of my niece modeling one of the tutus for her Valentine's photo. She is tutu cute!
