The girls and I had been planning this all week and were busy setting up and decorating/cooking all afternoon. What we did not expect was that John Mark would lose his truck keys, and spend the entire day with our next door neighbor (who owns the Ford dealership in our small town) trying other random Ford vehicle keys and writing down all the serial number information to have another key made.....then getting John Mark a loaner vehicle for in the meantime.
Well anyway, I didn't want to sound naggy about calling or texting "When are you coming home?" especially when he was coming home in a foul mood about losing his keys. So the girls and I decided to make the menu easier than originally planned. I had the cobbler all done, and the rolls.....then we opted for HEB Pizza and bag salad...ready to whip together at a moment's notice. So our family picnic was not at the expected time....but it was appreciated, and we all got to dance outside under the twinkle lights, and enjoy the fire. How was your night?
