Getting Knocked up will Solve our Medical Problems

The Social Services in our town are a bunch of friggin idiots!

Here is the scoop....today Regan and I had an afternoon together. We went to get her hair cut, and I was planning to make her favorite dinner (chicken Alfredo) and just in general spend the afternoon talking with her (John Mark and Rebecca had a date to the local neighboring city together).

After leaving the salon....I had the brilliant idea to swing by Social Services in our town because I had a question for them concerning Regan's future. I thought this was a perfect opportunity to stop by because then Regan could get in on the conversation too and be in on her planning process.

Regan is on our private health insurance and we have never sought any government aide for her beyond all the free therapy she gets from the state for attending public school. A friend of mine had told me though that when she turns 18 we need to look at what Medicaid or Medicare have to offer as far as disability goes. Since I know nothing about it I thought I would talk to a social worker....pick up some brochures and start my research on the matter.

You would not believe what the woman in there told me!!!!!!!!!!

She said she was unsure that she had anything that would help Regan when she turns 18 as far as medical services goes (funny I thought this was part of the DEPT of Health).....but if she got pregnant they would be able to help her as a mother with her baby.

Let me clarify this....because I am stunned to the core.....do you mean to tell me I should look into getting my daughter knocked-up after 18 so she will be able to get medical care?

No wonder this government and economy are so screwed up. That would also explain the number of low economic young mothers running around my community. If this is the helpful information that they hand out here I can do without. These people are idiots...and spreading this information around my town...it is disturbing!!!!!!
