I am an on-the-go kind of gal. In fact I can't stand to not be busy or have a gameplan. I think that if they had been diagnosing ADD in the 70's when I started school the would have put me on Ritalin instead of in the gifted kids program. Because my mind and body can not stay still.
Now my family is completely at ease with the frenetic way we embrace life.....but my five year old niece is not. After the cheer competition on Sunday.....I raced up to Austin to see my stunningly beautiful newborn niece Claire (picture to follow again soon), and to pick up my five year old niece Kyla so that mom and dad could have a little peace with the newborn.
Well Kyla is not used to having to be at the gym in the evening for hours while I teach gymnastics....and not having her supper at a normal time, and having two older girl cousins who want to talk about weird things like bras. She was exhausted come Monday evening (to top it off, my computer once again acted up hence no posts from me).
Then this morning I get her up bright and early at 6:30 a.m. with my girls.....because we have school, errands, things to do. She tried to tell me she doesn't wake up when it is still night outside, I told her I was sorry....but the rest of the house was leaving, and she was not old enough to stay by herself.
"Aunt Christine (she tells me in a tired voice) I don't like your schedule"
I am so sorry, baby.
