Church Christmas Plays Season

This will be my eighth year as the Director of the Methodist Church Christmas play. Or as I like to refer it the continual humiliation of my girls all in the name of Christian fun.

Every year they beg me to give them the choice parts with the most lines that they swear they will remember. And then I spring the news...."Well the main character this year is going to be a Goat" or cow or donkey..... Several years ago a few extraordinary seamstresses made us a lot of wonderful animal costumes, that I love to showcase year after year.

Of course they have played nearly every role available in the nativity. Rebecca even played baby Jesus her first year (on Benadryl of course) and slept peacefully through out the play. My favorite character of Regan's was as an unwanted Christmas tree. She was so stinkin cute!

This year I have plethora of kids from ages 4-8, so I am looking at adapting Christmas poetry into the nativity scene. Wish me luck!
