The answer to can Regan walk on her own is YES! But only in the water. This is something she has been doing for several years, and she feels secure enough in the water to take steps and not worry about falling and getting hurt.
Regan takes each step carefully but very wide and swerving all over the place. I teased her that she never needs to drink to walk like a drunken sailor. For her exercise time in the pool at the hotel last night, she completed a dozen laps walking back and forth from wall to wall.
See how proud she is of her walking. We still hope that one day her fears and anxiety will allow her to trust herself to take steps out of her walker on land, but for now I will take all I can get with her ability in the water.
